Dr. Jesca Ahimbisibwe is the founder and Executive director of Cinema UG a marketing, branding, and distribution film company based in Uganda. She has 9 years of experience as a software developer and problem solver.
She is the Executive director at Women in Film Organisation, an organization aiming to equip, train, and empower women in the film sector. https://joinwomeninfilm.org/
Her work at Cinema UG has been featured on CNN Africa in a documentary titled “African
Entrepreneurs Using Technology to Change and Transform the Creative Sector.”
With nine years of experience as a film marketer, she has worked on the biggest film titles, including Kafacho, Lala, Mania, and Beneath Beauty. She has also developed marketing strategies for the Ikon Awards, Uganda Film Festival, Theatre and Arts Performing Festival, and many other projects. She has worked with the Uganda Film Festival for the 9th, 10th, and 11th editions for branding and marketing.
She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree from the Roxbourg
Institute of Social Entrepreneurship and serves on the Professional Higher Education Standards Advisory Board (PHESAB) in Switzerland.
