How AMC Works

OPEN SUBMISSIONS
Each season begins with an open call across Africa and the diaspora. Participants submit original one-minute monologues addressing African themes such as unity, identity, trade, empowerment, governance, and shared destiny.

Stage 1

SELECTION AND JUDGING
Submissions are reviewed by nine judges drawn from across the world, representing diverse disciplines within the creative and cultural sectors.

Stage 2

CONTINENTAL EVICTIONS
Selected participants advance through virtual and live stages, with periodic evictions leading to the final ten.

Stage 3

PAN-AFRICAN RESIDENCY
The ten finalists spend one month living together in a Pan-African House in the host country, engaging in cultural immersion, masterclasses, policy conversations, and collaborative storytelling. The Pan-African House is a reality show structure that AMC is building as a symbolism of Africans living together under the umbrella of one continent.

Stage 4

GRAND FINALE
The season concludes with a grand finale performance and public engagement activities in the host country. The winning country gets to host the next edition of the AMC.
